A recent study published in the Nutrients journal has concluded that caffeine enhances countermovement jump (CMJ), reactive strength index (RSI), and handgrip strength in semi-professional female volleyball players. Caffeine intake has improved the well-being, physical performance, and fatigue perception of female volleyball team players. However, it is noteworthy that the impact of caffeine tends to last longer in women compared to men, making it a consideration and an undesirable aspect in terms of its potential negative influence on sleep quality, especially in female players.
